Thomson’s Bar is a haven for real ale aficionados and malt whisky fans alike. With original oak timber detailing, the bar is beautifully designed in the style of celebrated Scottish architect, Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson, and the staff aren’t too bad looking themselves!

Thomson’s is famed throughout the city for its real ale selection, with staff happily taking the time to recommend a few favourites. If all that chat gives you an appetite, be sure and sample one of our famous steak pies, although you’ll need to get your order in quick, as they are the stuff of legend round these parts!
